Our volunteers

Since 1863 the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is committed to helping those who need assistance with the participation of volunteers all over the world. Volunteer - is the driving force of the humanitarian activities of the International Movement of RC and RC. We would not be able to participate in the lives of those for whom we work, to the extent that we do this without the help of our volunteers. Anyone who has a sincere desire to help people  could be volunteer of Red Crescent Society of Kyrgyzstan

"Mercy - is the way to happiness"

My name is Akmatov Nurdin. I was born in 1967 in Kara-Balta. I grew up and studied in Belovodskoe village and graduated high school in 1984.

Since 2011 I have been working in a homeless shelter. I think this work was able to show me the world on the other side. Working there, I see a lot of people who don’t have enough human warmth. I love to help people and because of this decided to become a volunteer of the Red Crescent. I am engaged in volunteering already as 5 years and I love it! Mercy - is the way to happiness!

I am a volunteer since June 2016. Previously, I was a volunteer in the psycho-neurological boarding house. Being a volunteer is very interesting. I get a lot of positive emotions, I am pleased to be necessary and useful to society.

I like to help people and it does not matter who it is: the disabled, children or elderly. I work in this project, because it's interesting, there are very positive staffs. Working with the elderly is very interesting. They can give a lot useful information and share their experience.

I was born on 8 March 1996  in the Suusamyr village.

Now I am married, I have a child, he is  2 years old. My husband is student.

I like to do good things. Volunteering helps me in this.

I also perceive a lot of interesting for me. It is useful to me later in life.

Every time when I come to the ward, I gain new emotions!

I have started volunteering since July 2016. For many years, I have helped my elderly neighbor. I became a volunteer because I like to engage in charity, to see the result of the work and the happy faces of people. This project has attracted me so that it was a meeting of all ages and you can learn from the experience of the wards.

I like their positive. The project allows me to convey to the elderly that they are not alone with old age, and that we need them. Volunteers help to rediscover world of relationships with people, show that there is good in this life

I have been volunteering in Red Crescent Society of Kyrgyzstan since October 2015 and involved in many projects and one of them is Elderly care project. I am in the role of guardian to a 2 elderly people and help with their household.

The reason why I am volunteering in this project is that it’s a good opportunity to communicate with the elder people, learn something new. For example my grandmother teaches me to bake cakes. I am glad that we have an opportunity to spend time wisely.

When I studied in school, I saw volunteers on TV and also wanted to do good and to participate in social activities.

I have been volunteering in Red Crescent since May 2015. I like that I'm working with the elderly, because helping them, I make them happier.

They can talk about many things: about the weather, about the Soviet Union, art, etc. They lack the simple human communication!

I was born in 1960 in our beautiful Bishkek. I am the eldest in the family. I always help to my classmates, then to my colleagues, friends.

Now I do not work, there are times when I can and want to help the elderly. I have been trained to assist in the lonely elderly in Kyrgyz Red Crescent, and now have two wonderful wards.

I had a case when I was a young I got an apartment and it was on the first floor. And one grandmother, who lived on the fifth floor and because of feet illness, did not come out on the street, asked me to change with apartments. I agreed. I still remember how she was happy.

I want and I like to be a volunteer!
